About Me

My name is Gina and I graduated from UBC Pharmacy in 2015. I previously obtained a degree in Biochemistry from UVic in 2009 and worked in research prior to applying for pharmacy school. I grew up in Nanaimo although Victoria has started to feel more like home.

During my pharmacy degree, I worked two summers at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox where I was involved in many projects including medication reconciliation, antibiotic stewardship and therapeutic drug monitoring and it was here that I discovered my passion for clinical pharmacy. My particular interests in pharmacy include infectious disease, nephrology, pharmacokinetics and patient outcome assessment.

My interests outside of pharmacy include exercise and nutrition (a challenging balance this year, I imagine!) as well as reading novels. My reading interests vary widely from Sci-Fi/Fantasy to the current book I am reading, The Patient Will See You Now.
